A little about me…

I’ve been a writer, blogger, online salesperson, crafter, social media specialist, creative and motivational writer for a number of years now and finally decided to create a site dedicated to all of it…but my writing most of all.

I write across many genres from business and history to fiction and poetry and beyond. One of my favorite parts about the writing is the research and honestly it takes nothing to get me to start searching for a needle in the haystack that is the internet.

Besides writing, I also run a vintage business called Stuff We Find. (My research really comes in handy here!) The business helps pay the bills and allows me the freedom to write. Right now I deal mostly in jewelry with the plan to expand into another online business in Fall 2022.

I have a passion for history and love to read about it. To try to get the folks of my city involved in the preservation of our city’s historical sites, I started writing it but in a different way. To make it more interesting, I combined my love of the paranormal as well as the legends and lore that come with every town and created a series of annual posts that are published every Halloween. History can be dry and boring and I wanted a way to reach folks to get them discussing the past and preserving it for the future. Thanks to their popularity and the support of the community, I’m am hoping to put these pieces into a book and you can read more about these stories on the Stamford History page of this site.

Writing about social media marketing, business matters (especially customer service) and now my recent beginnings into crypto mining is also an outlet for me. I’ve worked in social media since the dark days of Myspace and grew with it as it took over the world. Thanks to my background in it, I’ve been able to do my own marketing for my vintage business which of course is a money saver. I also share about what it’s like to run what I’ve dubbed a ‘micro-business’ from my bedroom and try and help others who are thinking of starting an online reselling business.

Lastly, I just wanted to have a place that was all mine online. While the blogs and the social posts are about various other aspects of my life, I wanted this site to be more about my writing both past and present. I had wanted to start this a few years ago as an online portfolio of sorts while including resources for other writers as well. But unfortunately life happened and the timing wasn’t right. But it’s right now and here we are!

I hope you will bear with me as I begin to build this to the site and adding what I can each day. I hope it will become something really special and that you’ll be along for the ride! Thanks for being here!
